Commercial solar · Across the UK

Your roof.Your power.Your advantage.

Cut your business electricity costs with commercial solar. Buy it, finance it, or choose a funded Power Purchase Agreement with no upfront installation cost, subject to approval. Then keep it performing with planned site care from the same team.

Installation is at our core.

01Reduce grid electricity purchases

03Plan around your actual usage
PPA or CAPEX

Two clear ways to go solar.

Own the system outright, or keep your capital and buy the power through a funded PPA. We model the same roof and the same consumption data both ways, so the choice is clear.

01 · The funded route

PPA solar

Save without the upfront investment.

A funder pays for and owns the solar installation on your building. Your business buys the solar electricity it uses at an agreed tariff.

  • No upfront installation cost for eligible, approved projects
  • Potential savings when the solar tariff is below your grid rate
  • Working capital stays free for staff, stock and growth
  • Clear pricing, with any annual increases agreed upfront
  • Maintenance, monitoring and insurance set out in the PPA
  • Less reliance on the grid, supporting sustainability goals

Best for businesses prioritising cash flow

Explore a funded PPA
02 · The ownership route

CAPEX solar

Your system. Your long-term value.

Your business buys and owns the installation, using what it generates on site to cut what you buy from your grid supplier.

  • Own a productive energy asset on your roof
  • Use your own generation with no separate PPA charge
  • Less exposure to changes in grid unit prices
  • Returns and payback modelled on your actual consumption
  • Potential export income, subject to connection terms
  • Buy outright, or spread the cost with finance

Solar panels naturally lose a small amount of generating capacity over time. Annual cleaning can help maintain output by removing dirt, pollen and bird droppings that block sunlight, and can recover losses caused by soiling.

Spread the investment

Own it, on a payment plan.

Prefer to own the system but spread the cost? Here's what financing a £25,000 CAPEX project could look like. Pick a term.

Hire purchase

Spread payments towards ownership. The lender usually keeps title until the agreement ends and any purchase fee is paid.

Equipment leasing

Pay to use the system. The lender owns the equipment and ownership doesn't transfer automatically.

Compare the whole agreement

Check the deposit, interest rate, total payable, fees, final payment, early settlement and any personal guarantee.

Illustrative repayments on £25,000. Payments depend on your business credit rating and lender terms, and are subject to credit approval. Totals are the monthly payment multiplied by the number of months, excluding extra charges. Confirm deposit, VAT, fees and any final payment in your written finance quote. Solar savings are not guaranteed to cover finance payments. Finance is supplied under a separate agreement with a lender.

Understand the site, show the numbers and explain the next steps clearly.

1

Understand your energy use

Share a recent bill, ideally 12 months or half-hourly data, plus the site address and whether you own or lease it.

2

More than solar

Your one-stop shop for solar and site care.

Start with a clean roof and a solar installation, then come back to the same point of contact for panel cleaning, drainage, exterior cleaning and ongoing site care.

One point of contact

One call covers your solar and every external service on site.

Care beyond installation

Panel cleaning planned alongside drainage, cleaning and grounds visits at the same site.

One job or planned visits

Before installation

Start with a clean roof.

Before the panels go on, the roof should be clean. We remove dirt, moss, lichen and debris from metal and profiled roofs, so the surface can be checked properly and installers start on a clean roof.

  • Large industrial and warehouse roofs cleaned ahead of installation
  • Method chosen for the roof sheeting and coating
  • Photo record of the roof before work begins

Solar panel care

Keep every panel earning what it was designed to.

Dust, lichen and bird fouling build up on commercial roofs, especially on low-pitch arrays that rain doesn't rinse well. Every kWh lost to dirt is a kWh your savings model counted on.

  • Water-fed pole, powered platform or drone, chosen per site

CDM 2015

CDM coordination

Where more than one contractor is involved, the client appoints a principal designer and principal contractor in writing.

A construction phase plan is in place before work starts, and a health and safety file supports future work on the building, including planned panel cleaning.

This explains our planning approach. It is not an approved RAMS or construction phase plan for a particular site. Northern Ireland projects follow the applicable NI regulations. Guidance: HSE: CDM 2015

Your questions, answered

Let's make solar clearer.

Straight answers to what businesses ask most.

Ask us a question
Is a PPA the same as free electricity?

No. The equipment is funded, but your business pays for the electricity it uses under the agreement. The tariff, annual increases, term and responsibilities need to be looked at together.

Can we spread the cost of a CAPEX system?

Yes, through hire purchase or equipment leasing with a lender. Our £25,000 example compares 3, 4 and 5-year terms. Hire purchase and leasing have different ownership outcomes.

How much could our business save?

It depends on your tariff, when you use power, the roof layout and the funding terms. Your proposal shows the assumptions and modelled savings, not a blanket promise.

Can we install solar on a leased building?

Potentially. Landlord consent, the remaining lease term and roof rights need checking. Tell us whether you own or lease when you enquire.

Who receives export income?

That depends on who owns the system, the grid connection and the contracts. Under a PPA, export income shouldn't be assumed to belong to the host business.

Will solar cover all of our electricity?

Usually you keep your grid supply. Generation varies with daylight and weather, and your proposal separates total generation from what you'll use on site.

Do the panels need cleaning?

Yes, periodically. Dirt and bird fouling cut output, especially on low-pitch roofs. Planned cleaning every 12 to 18 months is typical, adjusted to site conditions, and can be planned alongside your other site services.

What do you need to get started?

Your site address, a recent electricity bill and a contact at your business. Twelve months of data or half-hourly readings help us prepare a better assessment.
